The warning that matters
When someone hits you, RoFront says: You are under attack! Track every front in the Attacks panel. Defense Posts make borders much harder to take.
That is the combat loop. Several borders can be live at once. The panel is how you see them. Defense posts are the structure the game itself names as the border tool.
How an attack spends troops
You choose a percentage of your army for a push. Those troops leave your pool when you send them. This site does not have RoFront's loss-per-tile formula, terrain multipliers, or a recommended send percent. If a guide quotes a 25% or 40% rule from the browser Open Front game, that number is not confirmed here.
Practical check before you send:
- Look at the Attacks panel so you know which borders are already burning.
- Pick one border to push.
- Send a percentage you can replace, not your entire pool, unless losing the rest of the nation is acceptable.
- After the land flips, stop. Refill before you click the next nation.
A recorded world match shows an attack on Chad across North Africa while a captured port and a returning warship are part of the same front. Land, sea, and buildings can all be live together. That does not mean you should open all three on purpose in the first minutes.
Defense posts
Reported defense-post prices are 50,000, then 100,000, 150,000, 200,000, and 250,000 gold. Put the cheap first post on the border you expect to lose, not in the middle of safe land.
The game says posts make borders much harder to take. It does not publish a damage multiplier for RoFront. Do not assume a browser-game multiplier of five. If a posted border is eating your army, go around it or build your own post and troops before you send a larger percentage into the same tiles.
After you capture
New land is a new border. If you keep attacking, the old front and the new front both need troops. Connect the new land to what you already hold so you are not defending an island of color with no path home.
If the nation dies
The loss screen says YOUR NATION HAS FALLEN and ELIMINATED. On a small regional board that can happen in one breakthrough. There is no published way to respawn into the same nation mid-match.
